The Sanitify Biodegradable Super Cleaner at pH 13 is safe on automotive clear coat and factory paint when used at standard dilution (1:10 or more) and with normal dwell times (2–5 minutes). Do not use neat (undiluted) on painted car bodywork or allow extended contact — the high pH can soften paint at prolonged exposure. For engine bay degreasing and cleaning of unpainted metal, plastics, and rubber components, it is highly effective. Always rinse thoroughly with water after application on any painted surface.

Most supermarket degreasers either contain hydroxides (caustic soda/NaOH) which can burn skin and corrode materials, or phosphates which persist in waterways. The Sanitify Biodegradable Super Cleaner achieves the same extreme alkalinity (pH 13) using a hydroxide-free formulation — it cuts through grease just as powerfully but without the caustic burning risk and without phosphate environmental contamination. It is also fully biodegradable, breaking down safely in wastewater systems after use.

Yes — this is one of the standout use cases. Spray onto adhesive residue, allow 3–5 minutes dwell time, then wipe with a cloth or plastic scraper. The alkaline formula breaks down the hydrocarbon-based adhesive polymers, allowing them to lift cleanly from glass, metal, ceramic, and most rigid plastic surfaces. For very thick or aged adhesive, a second application with a longer dwell time (10–15 minutes) will typically complete the removal without any scratching.

The Sanitify Biodegradable Super Cleaner is formulated for use on food-contact surfaces in commercial kitchens — it is phosphate-free and biodegradable. However, as with all heavy-duty degreasers, food preparation surfaces must be thoroughly rinsed with clean water after application and before food contact. Do not apply to surfaces with food present.
