Sanitify was founded in 2021 in Tallinn, Estonia, with a single conviction: that hygiene should not come at the expense of human or environmental health. For decades, the cleaning industry equated “clean” with “sterile,” relying on harsh chemicals, biocides, and disinfectants that strip surfaces of all microbial life — including the beneficial bacteria that help maintain a balanced indoor ecosystem. Why Probiotic Cleaning Matters Now

Three trends have converged to make probiotic cleaning relevant in a way it would not have been a decade ago. The first is rising scientific awareness of the indoor microbiome — the community of microorganisms that live on every surface of every building. Research over the last fifteen years has shown that this microbiome is not optional or incidental: it actively influences allergy rates, asthma incidence, and even mood and cognitive performance for the humans who share the space. The Science Behind Probiotic Cleaning

The active ingredient in our probiotic cleaning range is Bacillus Ferment — a carefully selected consortium of spore-forming probiotic bacteria. These spores are dormant when packaged, which gives our products a long shelf life and stable performance. When the product is sprayed onto a surface, the spores activate, germinate, and begin metabolising organic matter: the dust, skin cells, food residues, and biofilms that pathogens depend on for survival.

Our products are CE certified and meet the requirements of EU Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 (CLP) for classification, labelling and packaging, and EU Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 (REACH) for the registration, evaluation, authorisation and restriction of chemicals. We publish ingredient lists in INCI / EC nomenclature on every product page, and we provide safety data sheets for our concentrate and bulk packaging on request. Where applicable, our products carry biodegradability declarations consistent with OECD 301 series test methods.

We do not test on animals. Our products are cruelty-free and contain no animal-derived ingredients. Bacillus Ferment is cultivated through fermentation, and our surfactant systems are plant-derived where technically feasible.

• Biodegradable formulations. Our cleaning products break down in wastewater streams without leaving persistent residues. We avoid phosphates, optical brighteners, and quaternary ammonium compounds wherever the cleaning task can be solved with milder chemistry.
• No volatile organic compounds (VOCs). Several of our concentrates are explicitly VOC-free, which matters for indoor air quality in homes, schools, hospitals, and offices where occupants spend the majority of their day.
• Concentrate-first packaging. We sell concentrate refills in 30 ml, 500 ml, and 5 L formats. Buying concentrate dramatically reduces shipping weight, plastic packaging per litre of finished cleaner, and the carbon cost of last-mile delivery.
